Central Armed Police Forces Examination (CAPF)

Introduction

The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in various forces such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Roles and Responsibility

Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical and medical standards specified by the UPSC.

Exam Pattern

The CAPF Examination consists of three stages:

Written Examination: Consists of two papers – Paper I (General Ability and Intelligence) and Paper II (General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test: Candidates who clear the written exam are called for PET and medical tests.

Personal Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who qualify the PET and medical tests are called for an interview conducted by the UPSC.
